My first tattoo. I got this not only because I am a Pisces, but my mother has a tattoo on her ankle of Pisces fish as well as the Scorpio symbol on her other ankle for her astrological symbol. When I have my first child I will get their symbol tattoed on my other ankle.
These moons may not look like much. But it shows that we complete each other. We’ve been through the depths of hell in the nine years that she has been my bestfriend. She truly is my other half and I love her more than anything on this planet.
For my 18th birthday me and my best friend got matching tattoos. We’ve been best friends since middle school. And now we are becoming adults together. Aside from my family she has been the only person there for me continually. She’s always been my shoulder to cry on, my backup when shit gets bad, a great advice giver, and she’s been the most supportive and helpful person through my illness. And I hope I’ve been the same for her. Even when we start to drift apart we always find our way back to each other. And even, if in the future we are no longer in each others lives, I won’t ever regret this tattoo because it will always symbolize what a big part of my life she has been.
Ethiopian girl guarded from gang rape & assault by three lions.
“The girl had been taken by seven men who wanted to force her to marry one of them. She was beaten repeatedly. Then the lions chased off her captors. The three lions guarded her for about half a day. They stood guard until we found her and then they just left her like a gift and went back into the forest.”
Then, Stuart Williams (the local wildlife ‘expert’) suggests that perhaps the lions mistook the 12 year old girl’s cries for a lion cub. Which seems awfully silly, considering that lions are perfectly capable of telling apart the gazelles they eat from their own cubs, aren’t they?
